A gold coin (RIC 276) struck at Constantinople.
On the obverse: a bust of Theodosius II (401-450) facing right, in a pearl tiara, surrounded with an inscription “DN THEODO - SIVS PF AVG”. On the reverse: a figure of Victoria facing right with her head turned left, holding a wreath and a globe with a cross. There is a star and inscriptions “VICTOR - IA - AVGVSTORVM” and “CONOB”.
Discovery: a chance discovery in a field; a result of ploughing.
