A strap end in the shape of a beak, decorated with intersecting lines in the upper part. The strap plate has two rivets and is decorated with deep grooves. It is classified into type VI.11 of R. Madyda-Legutko.
The beak-shaped strap-ends are a rare find in the Przeworsk culture and in West Pomerania. They are more often found in the area occupied by the Balts (Dollkeim/Kovrovo culture), on the lower Vistula, in Mazovia to the east of the Vistula and the Hrubieszów Basin.
A chance discovery in 2001. The strap-end was found in a forest near Ulów, close to site 3, a cemetery of the Wielbark culture which belongs to the complex of eight archaeological sites from the Roman and the Migration periods near Ulów excavated since 2001. A total of 176 graves, mostly cremations, were discovered here.
