Two symmetrical plaques, made of gold, in the shape of trapezium, with imitation of a socket. They might have been elements of a necklace or a bracelet. They are decorated with ornament of concentric rings and a row of beading along the edge. The lower face is plain.
The form and ornamentation of the plaques is similar to the Scandinavian tradition of goldsmithery.
A chance discovery in the late 1930s. The plaques showing affinity with Sösdala style were found in a gravel mine near Skalin. They might have been part of grave inventory or a hoard.
